About Me
With over 20 years of dedicated teaching experience and as a proud mum of three, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and genuine, nurturing care to every child I look after. My background in education has given me a deep understanding of child development, learning styles, and the importance of creating a safe, stimulating environment where children feel valued, confident, and excited to grow.
As both a parent and an educator, I know how essential it is for families to feel trust, consistency, and open communication. I aim to provide a warm, home?from?home setting where children can explore, play, learn, and build meaningful relationships. My approach is rooted in patience, creativity, and a commitment to supporting each child as an individual, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically at their own pace.
I believe that high?quality childcare is built on strong partnerships with parents, and I work closely with families to ensure every child’s needs, routines, and interests are understood and supported. Whether it’s early learning activities, outdoor play, or simply offering a comforting presence, I strive to create a positive, enriching experience for every child in my care.
My Experience
s a devoted mum of three and an educator with over 20 years of teaching experience, I bring a deep, well?rounded understanding of children’s needs, development, and wellbeing. My journey as both a parent and a professional has shaped the way I support children—balancing warmth, structure, and a genuine commitment to helping every child thrive.
Across two decades in education, I have taught children of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds, giving me extensive insight into early learning, behaviour management, and the importance of creating a nurturing, engaging environment. My teaching qualifications have equipped me with strong knowledge of child development, safeguarding, first aid, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), all of which underpin the care I provide.
Alongside my teaching background, I hold the essential qualifications required for childminding, including up?to?date paediatric first aid training, safeguarding certifications, and relevant childcare coursework. I maintain a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring my practice remains current, safe, and aligned with best standards.
Being a mother of three has given me invaluable hands?on experience that no training can replicate. I understand the realities of family life, the importance of routine, and the trust parents place in those who care for their children. This personal experience shapes my approach—calm, patient, responsive, and always centred on the child as an individual.
Together, my professional expertise and personal experience allow me to offer a warm, reliable, and enriching childcare environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
