About Me
Professional Nanny / Household Assistant
Location: Sunderland (SR5)
Hours: Approximately 35–40 hours per week, including some weekends (hours and days to be agreed in advance with flexibility from both sides).
Pay: £15 per hour (depending on experience)
We're looking for an exceptional, warm and proactive nanny to become an important part of our family and help care for our wonderful baby daughter.
This role combines outstanding childcare with helping our household run smoothly while the baby sleeps or plays independently. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, enjoys staying busy and takes pride in their work.
We have a house cleaner that is in 3 days per week.
Please note: You must be Ofsted registered (or eligible and willing to become Ofsted registered), as we intend to claim Universal Credit childcare costs.
About Zara

Your responsibilities
Childcare • Providing loving, attentive care. • Planning age-appropriate activities. • Reading, singing and sensory play. • Outdoor walks, groups and classes. • Preparing bottles and meals. • Feeding and cleaning after meals. • Nappy changes and personal care. • Following sleep routines. • Encouraging learning and development. • Keeping a simple daily diary.
Household responsibilities (when childcare allows) • Children's laundry. • Washing and sterilising bottles. • Loading and unloading the dishwasher. • Keeping the kitchen tidy after meals. • Preparing baby meals. • Organising toys and play areas. • Restocking nappies and baby supplies. • Light household tidying (on days the cleaner is not in) • Hoovering main living areas when needed. • Feeding our 2 cats if needed• Helping keep the home organised and running smoothly.
We're looking for someone who is:
• Kind, calm and patient. • Reliable and punctual. • Organised and proactive. • Happy to take initiative without needing constant direction. • Comfortable working in a home with CCTV in communal areas. • A confident communicator. • Looking for a long-term position.
Essential
• Ofsted registered (or willing and eligible to become Ofsted registered). • Experience caring for babies. • Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one). • Paediatric First Aid (or willing to complete). • Excellent references. • Non-smoker. • Driving licence and own car preferred but not essential.
We would also present the opportunity to become our travel nanny where needed, with hotel, travel etc paid for.
