My Experience

I qualified as a teacher in 2019 and have been teaching full-time in KS1 ever since. During this time, I have developed a strong foundation in early years education and a passion for helping children build confidence and achieve their full potential.

Alongside my classroom teaching, I have taken on additional leadership responsibilities within school, including leading Maths and Music. These roles have allowed me to develop engaging, creative approaches to learning while supporting colleagues and driving curriculum development.

I am also trained in counselling and in understanding children’s mental health, which has strengthened my ability to support children’s emotional wellbeing, build trusting relationships, and create a calm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, secure, and understood.

My Qualifications

I am a fully qualified teacher, having gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have been teaching full-time in KS1 since 2019.

I hold NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce, along with a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, providing a strong academic foundation in child development and education.

I am also qualified in Portage, supporting early intervention and inclusive practice for young children with additional needs.

In addition, I have completed training in safeguarding awareness, food safety, and counselling skills, as well as an NCFE CACHE Level qualification in understanding children and young people’s mental health.
