My Experience

I have hands-on experience working with children aged 5–11 through my current roles in both structured activities and a home setting. I run after-school cookery clubs for primary school children, where I plan and lead sessions that teach basic cooking skills while encouraging teamwork, confidence, and independence.

I also work as a live-in au pair for a family with two boys aged 5 and 8. In this role, I support their daily routines, including school runs, homework, meal preparation, and organising activities. This has given me strong, practical experience in managing children’s needs, maintaining routines, and creating a positive and supportive environment.

Through these roles, I have developed a good understanding of how to engage children, manage behaviour, and support their development in a calm and consistent way. I hold an enhanced DBS check, as well as first aid and safeguarding training, and I have a clean driving licence, allowing me to be flexible and reliable in my work.

My Availability

I am available to work around my current commitments, which provide me with a structured but flexible schedule. I run after-school cookery clubs Monday to Thursday from 2:00pm to approximately 4:30pm.

In my role as an au pair, I am responsible for school drop-offs two mornings a week before 8:30am and pick-ups after 5:00pm on those same days. Outside of these times, I have good availability during weekdays, including mornings, late afternoons, and evenings depending on the day.

I am happy to discuss specific days and times to find a schedule that works well and can be as flexible as possible around my existing responsibilities.
