My Summary
About Me
I am a friendly, caring and reliable person who genuinely enjoys working with children. I am patient, calm and easy to get along with and I always aim to create a safe, fun and positive environment where children feel comfortable and supported. I enjoy helping children build confidence and learn new things. I also enjoy encouraging kids to be creative with stimulating activities such as painting, colouring, reading, and exploring outside. I understand how important trust and communication are when caring for children and I always try to build positive relationships with both children and parents.
My Experience
I have 4 years of experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant supporting children with a range of additional needs including autism and communication difficulties. In this role I worked closely with children both one-on-one and in small groups helping them with learning, communication, emotional regulation and daily routines throughout the school day.
My experience has helped me develop strong patience, understanding and the ability to adapt to each child’s individual needs and personality. I am confident supporting children with different behaviours and helping them feel calm, safe and supported in different situations. I have also worked closely with teachers, therapists and parents to help create positive environments where children can build confidence and develop independence.
Alongside my school experience I have also babysat for neighbours and family friends caring for children of different ages. My responsibilities included supervising play, preparing snacks and meals, helping with bedtime routines, keeping children entertained and making sure they were always safe and comfortable. Through both my professional and babysitting experience I have become reliable, organised and confident caring for children in a calm and positive way.
