About Me
I'm Sophie, I’m based near West Hill, Exeter, with my own car and full driving licence. I'm a naturally smiley, energetic person who genuinely loves being around children - but I also have a really level-headed, calm side, and I think that balance is what makes me good at this. I want parents to feel completely at ease knowing their children are with someone sensible, professional and fun who is going to look after them properly and make them laugh. I'm experienced with neurodivergent children and am very calm in challenging situations. I'm also more than happy to help out around the house - whether that's a bit of tidying, laundry or vacuuming - whatever helps. I'm eager to learn, adaptable, and I'll always give 100%.

My Experience
Since September 2025 I have been regularly childminding two children, aged 11 and 7, one to two days per week. This includes school pickups, home care and trips to the park. The eldest is neurodivergent with autism, and I have developed a calm, confident approach to supporting her needs. I have also babysat for neighbouring families on an informal basis.
I also coach an under-13s hockey team and work on holiday camps for West Panthers at Blundell's School, where I look after and coach children ranging from age 5 upwards.
My Qualifications
Achieved 10 GCSEs - A**-C
Achieved 3 A-Levels - A*-C
I currently hold a DBS check and have real hands-on experience caring for children, including a neurodivergent child with autism. I am in the processes of applying for, and starting, my Paediatric First Aid training. I hold a full UK driving licence and have my own car, and I am committed to continuing to develop my skills to give the best possible care to every child I look after.
I am also an active youth sports coach, working with children as young as five through holiday camps and team coaching, which has further developed my confidence and ability to manage groups of children in a fun and safe environment.
My Availability
I am currently available one to two days per week and am flexible on which days those are, depending on what works best for the family. I do not have set days, which means I can often fit around your schedule rather than the other way around. Please get in touch and we can find something that works for us both.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
My rate is £12 per hour, which includes travel costs. I'm always happy to have a chat if you'd like to discuss further!
