About Me

I am an experienced primary teacher with over ten years of experience working with children across EYFS and the primary phase, alongside nursery experience with toddlers. Over the past year, I have worked as a supply teacher across a range of schools and year groups, which has further strengthened my flexibility, adaptability and confidence in supporting children in different settings. As I am now looking for a role where I can provide more consistent and individualised support to children and families, I am very interested in working as a nanny.
I provide reliable, nurturing childcare tailored to each child’s individual needs, supporting daily routines such as feeding, hygiene, sleep and play, while also helping older children with homework, including reading, phonics and maths. My experience in Early Years and primary education has given me a strong understanding of children’s developmental stages and how their needs change as they grow. I am confident in supporting young children’s emotional, social and language development through play-based learning and positive interactions, while also encouraging older children’s independence, confidence and progress in their learning. Working across different age groups has helped me develop patience, strong communication skills and the ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children and families, creating a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive.

My Experience

Alongside my teaching experience, I have worked as a nanny caring for two young girls aged two and a half years and seven months, as well as another seven-month-old baby. In these roles, I was responsible for providing attentive and nurturing care tailored to each child’s individual needs and stage of development. My responsibilities included preparing bottles and meals, feeding, changing nappies, maintaining hygiene routines, supporting sleep schedules and ensuring the children’s overall safety and wellbeing throughout the day. I also planned and engaged the children in age-appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and language development, including sensory play, storytelling, creative activities and outdoor play. In addition, I supported daily routines, accompanied children to parks and activities when required, maintained a safe and organised environment and built strong, trusting relationships with both the children and their families through clear and reliable communication.
My experience as a primary teacher across Early Years and the primary phase has provided me with many transferable skills that are highly valuable in childcare. Working closely with young children has given me a strong understanding of child development and the importance of creating a nurturing, structured and stimulating environment where children feel secure and supported. My Early Years experience has strengthened my ability to support communication, emotional regulation, independence and learning through play, while my wider primary teaching experience has developed my organisation, patience, adaptability and behaviour management skills. I am confident in supporting children’s learning and development through meaningful interactions and activities, while responding sensitively to their individual needs and personalities. My teaching background has also helped me develop excellent communication skills with parents, enabling me to build positive relationships and provide consistent support for children’s wellbeing and development.
