Part Time Nanny Job in Redcar
About Me
We are a young, hardworking family based in Redcar. I will be starting university in September to study adult nursing, and I will also be attending hospital placements which involve long shifts, including early mornings and 12-hour days. My partner works full time (around 40 hours a week) with a changing rota, sometimes starting very early or finishing late.
We have a bright, loving 3-year-old daughter who is at the heart of everything we do. She is full of personality, enjoys reading, playing, and learning new things, and has a consistent bedtime routine which is very important to us.
Due to our work and study commitments, we are looking for a supportive and reliable nanny who can become part of our family routine. We value stability, kindness, and trust, and we are hoping to find someone who will build a strong bond with our daughter and provide her with a safe, caring, and positive environment when we are not at home.
We are a respectful and friendly household and will always ensure clear communication, fairness, and appreciation for the important role our nanny will play in our lives.
My Requirements
We are looking for a caring, reliable and experienced nanny to become a trusted part of our family and support with our daughter (age 3) from September, when I begin university and nursing placements.
This is a sole-charge role, and we are looking for someone we can fully trust, who will also hold a set of house keys and take responsibility for our daughter’s care in our home.
Duties will include:
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Providing a safe, nurturing environment
- Cooking healthy meals for our daughter
- Supporting her evening routine and putting her to bed (7pm)
- Reading with her and encouraging learning and development
- General care and engagement (play, activities, etc.)
Hours & flexibility:
Our schedules vary due to university placements and shift work, so flexibility is essential. This may include:
- Early mornings (from approx. 6am for school drop-off)
- After school care and evenings
- Occasional additional support when needed
Additional support required:
Due to a medical condition, I require supervision when travelling. We are therefore looking for someone who is happy to:
- Drive and collect me from university when needed
- Be a responsible adult present during travel where required
Essential requirements:
- Ofsted registered (required for childcare funding)
- Enhanced DBS check
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Previous childcare/nanny experience
- Reliable, trustworthy and nurturing personality
- Comfortable working independently in our home
What we are looking for:
We are hoping to find someone kind, patient and dependable, who we can truly trust and welcome into our family. Building a strong, positive relationship with our daughter is very important to us.
If you are experienced, flexible and looking for a long-term, meaningful role, we would love to hear from you.
Location: Redcar
Start date: Late September
Pay: £12.50-£14 per hour (Competitive, depending on experience)
