My Requirements

We're looking for a fun-loving, energetic and enthusiastic nanny to care for our twin 8 year old boys, who are diagnosed as autistic. Both boys are verbal, but have language delays of a few years. They are currently in mainstream school, where they receive 1:1 support for a portion of the week. By far the most important quality we are looking for is someone who will be caring and responsive to the boys' needs, and champion their ability to thrive and be happy. Both boys are active, enjoying being outside as well as dancing and music, and so high energy is a must! We don't need applicants to have worked with autistic children before, but creativity in finding ways to engage and help the boys learn would be useful.

Current occupant works as a nanny-housekeeper, four days a week 1-6pm (with some housekeeping work 1-3 before school pick up) 4 days a week 8-6pm in school holidays. We can be flexible though - if candidates preferred shorter term time work without housekeeping that would be fine too. Boys' school is about 1 mile away so driving licence probably necessary.
