My Experience

I’ve been babysitting since secondary school and during my gap year worked as a nanny, gaining experience with children of different ages and a wide range of family dynamics. My experience includes full-time care for an infant, acting as an extra helping hand during the postpartum period, weekend babysitting, overnight care for teenagers, and supporting SEND toddlers.

I’m confident adapting to different routines, personalities, and household needs, and I genuinely enjoy building strong, long-term connections with both children and parents. Growing up, I always felt different and in my early twenties received an autism diagnosis, which has made me especially passionate about approaching childcare with patience, empathy, and understanding. I strongly believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and accepted for who they are, and I always aim to create an environment where they can flourish confidently at their own pace.

My Qualifications

I have completed full allergy awareness training as well as paediatric first aid training specifically focused on infants and children. Most of my childcare experience and confidence has been built through hands-on experience over the years, starting from babysitting as a teenager and progressing into more involved nannying and childcare roles.

I’m always eager to learn and improve my skills, and I’d be very happy to discuss any additional training that a family may be looking for to best support their children and household.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

My listed hourly rate is set at 15 pounds an hour; however, I understand that every family’s needs and circumstances are different, so there is definitely flexibility depending on the type of support required, particularly for consistent ongoing work, overnight care, or longer-term arrangements. I’m always happy to have an open conversation to find something that works well for everyone.

I genuinely find childcare incredibly fulfilling, and the flexibility around my studies allows me to support myself while doing something that brings me a real sense of purpose and enjoyment. I hope to provide the families I work with not only practical support, but also a sense of comfort, reliability, and trust knowing their children are being cared for by someone who truly values the role.
