About Me
I provide a rich, enabling environment where children can explore, play, and develop at their own pace, in line with the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The rooms are carefully organised with a wide range of resources accessible at children’s height, promoting independence and supporting children to make their own choices in play.
This approach reflects the EYFS commitment to child-led learning, where children learn best through active exploration and following their own interests. By creating an environment that encourages independence and curiosity, I support each child as a unique individual, helping them to develop confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.
I also ensure that the environment supports the EYFS areas of learning and development, offering opportunities for children to build their communication and language skills, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development through meaningful play experiences.
My Experience
My childcare experience began when I had my first child four years ago. Following this, I worked as a nursery assistant for just over a year before going on maternity leave to have my second child. As a mother of two and through my experience working in a nursery setting, I have developed strong knowledge and skills in children’s learning and development. My role required me to complete training courses, plan activities, observe children, and support their learning and development in a safe and nurturing environment.
My Qualifications
Bachelor in Psychology
MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience
Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties
Level 2 Certificate in Introducing caring for children and young people
Level 3 Paediatric First Aid
My Availability
I have places available for immediate start from Monday-Friday from 8:00-18:00.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
Food and consumables are not part of my standard rate. Additional fees apply for each meal, snack and for consumables and activities.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Broadmead Lower School

Dimitra babysat my son, she was so warm and immediately made him feel comfortable in her presence. She was confident in taking him out, managed naps successfully and he was so happy the whole day.
