About Me
I am a full-time working mum to a lovely 5 and a half year old girl who is in Reception. She is creative, funny, clever and insightful. She loves music, dancing, colouring and art based activities and going to the park. We are Americans living in Wimbledon so do not have family around to assist with childcare.
My Requirements
I am looking to find a nanny to assist with care over the summer holidays on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8am-6pm the first 5 weeks of the summer (week of 20 July to week of 17 August). Ideally we would build a relationship such that when we have a need for childcare on an ad hoc basis going forward, we have someone to assist. My daughter is Autistic with a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile and very likely to be ADHD (although that has not been diagnosed yet). I am looking for someone who understands or who is willing to learn about this profile and the accommodations required (i.e. using declarative language, allowing my daughter as much autonomy, choice and control as possible within the confines of reasonable boundaries and safety, and having the time with her be child-led). She is in school and has been in a child-care setting full time since she was 11 months old, so she is very used to being with other adults/caregivers. The key is to build a strong relationship with her so she feels safe and secure.
