Part-Time Nanny / Mother’s Help for 2 year old toddler
About Me
Thank you for your interest! We are busy professionals working in full-time jobs, and one of us works from home. Our toddler has been lucky to have enjoyed a year of his grandmother's care. We are initially looking for an extra pair of hands to help his grandmother, but the role will eventually transition into a sole care role, and as circumstances change.
My Requirements
Days: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - 8.30am to 5pm
Child: Two-year old boy
Interviews: By 11th June
Start date: Late June pending references etc.
We are looking for a warm, experienced and energetic part-time nanny to support our 2 year old boy in his next stage of childhood.
The role will involve childcare, preparing meals, tidying and cleaning as needed. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 5pm will be a regular pattern as his mother does not work on Wednesdays or Fridays.
We are on leave for the next two weeks so hoping to interview and trial by 11th June, with start by the end of June pending references etc.
Childcare will be based at home and in our large garden. No driving will be expected. However, we do live in a semi-rural area, so you will probably need a car.
Our toddler is active, curious and adventurous, so someone confident in managing energetic children safely would be very welcome!
We hope you will find our home welcoming and a joy to work in. You will be using a new kitchen, fully refurbished living spaces with lots of natural light, and air conditioning for those soon-to-come summer heatwaves! We are a vegetarian household, hence there is no requirement to work with meat or fish.
Where time permits, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, possibly helping with the child’s laundry, and prepping dinner for us from meal boxes will be really helpful.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has excellent references
• Holds enhanced DBS with barred lists checks, or is willing to obtain one
• Has paediatric first aid training (strongly preferred)
• Can actively engage with children’s stories and conversation
• Can balance looking after a busy, energetic child whilst preparing meals and basic simple housework
• Is able to work with a grandparent to provide complementary childcare as needed
• Nice to have: Nursery / nanny experience, Early Years qualifications, experience in shared-care family role
We hope this gives you an idea of what we are looking for - please reach out if you are interested, or if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you!
