About Me
We are a young family with two boys (1yr & 3 yr) and a small dog. Mother is a stay-at- home parent and Father holds an important and demanding role within a successful family managed business. We live in a large home with sprawling grounds.
My Requirements
We are looking for a reliable and caring Mother’s Helper to assist with day-to-day childcare and household duties. This role involves supporting a parent at home, helping to create a calm, organised, and nurturing environment for the children.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare Support:
• Shared-care support of supervising children, including playtime and activities
• Helping with feeding, dressing, and basic care routines
• Entertaining children with age-appropriate games, reading, or crafts
• Supporting outings (e.g., walks, park visits)
• Supporting school/nursery drop-offs and / or pickups
Household Support:
• Housekeeping (tidying toys, kitchen clean-up, laundry for all the family, children’s bedrooms etc)
• Preparing simple meals or snacks for children
• Keeping common areas clean and organised
• Running small errands if needed
• Feeding family dog
Parental Support:
• Working alongside the parent to ease daily workload
• Providing an extra pair of hands during busy periods e.g. morning routines etc, nursery or school drop-off’s etc
Requirements:
• Experience with children (formal or informal)
• Kind, patient, and proactive attitude
• Ability to take initiative while following parental guidance
• Basic understanding of child safety and hygiene
• First aid certification - ideal
• Driving licence – required, been driving for at least 5 years, car will be made available for pick-up / drop off duties
• DBS checked or can be arranged
• Non-smoker
