About Me
I am a married mum with 2 children. We live in Thame with easy access to local shops and parks. I moved to the area in 2003 from North West London. I have a large family around the UK and Europe and love spending time with then. Although I'm not a health fanatic, I get great enjoyment in going out with the family to local parks, woods and animal petting places which I continue to do with the children I care for. I offer a range of experiences for all aged children which enables them to to lead their learning and provide opportunities for them to be challenged when needed. I have a flexible routine that allows for the child's individual needs and the facilities to make provisions for their sleep, rest and play. I try to offer the children I care for as much variety as I can not just in my home but out and about at different social group around Thame. In my recent ofsted inspection I was graded a Good.
My Experience
I have been in childcare Since leaving school and over the years worked in a number of nursery setting. Through the years I have developed my skills progressing from a nursery nurse to a nursery manager. After managing for over 9 years and having 2 children of my own I really wanted to get back to my roots and be hands on again. So made the decision not to return to nursery after my second child was born. I have now being childminding for over 10 years and love every moment.
My Qualifications
I am qualified to a level 3 in childcare and have a level 4 in maintaining and improving quality within the childcare sector. I have completed my A1 in assessing as well as gained a certificate to teach. I have attended training for Behaviour management, Child Protection, First Aid, Food Hygiene and Risk assessment. I work closely with other childminders in the area which assists in keeping me up to date and current in training and meeting law and regulations.
My Availability
I have 2 days available from Feb 2022 (Wednesday and Thursday). I am flexible and happy to arrange sessions between 8am and 6pm. I am also registered for over night care should this service be required.
