About Me
I am a first-time mum seeking to do flexible work. Working with children has always been my passion, I am a keen advocate for learning through play and providing holistic development experiences. I have also engaged with montessori practices for my own child and appreciate many of the teachings.
I treat every child with respect and autonomy, while still setting firm boundaries to keep them safe. I am skilled at staying calm even while the child may be heightened, and have many 'tools in my toolbelt' to help the child regulate their emotions. I am non-judgemental and would never make a child feel ashamed for their presenting behaviour.
I enjoy being active and creative and would enjoy planning activities to do according to each child's favourites or current hobbies.
My Experience
I am highly experienced, having worked in childcare for over a decade. I have held positions in nurseries, and after school club and a children's home. This means I have cared for ages 2-16 professionally and am experienced working with children with SEN. Having my own child has given me lived experience of caring for a baby from newborn.
