About Me
We are a warm and welcoming family living on a beautiful smallholding in a rural village around 10 minutes from Monmouth. Our home has lots of outdoor space, gardens, animals and a dedicated playroom.
We follow a Montessori-inspired approach with minimal screens, plenty of outdoor time, creativity and encouraging independence through everyday activities and play. Parents and grandparents are usually nearby on site, creating a supportive and relaxed environment.
We currently have a happy, independent little boy who will be around 18 months old when the role begins, and another baby due in October. We would love to find someone long-term who can become a valued part of family life.
My Requirements
Initially we are looking for childcare 2 days per week (likely Mondays & Fridays), with the potential for additional days over time. Ideally we are hoping for a start around August/September, although there may be flexibility for this, and potentially an earlier start could be an option.
We are looking for someone warm, proactive and creative who genuinely enjoys engaging young children through play, outdoor or indoor activities and day-to-day involvement. There may also be a close friend’s child of a similar age alongside for additional socialisation.
Household Requirements
Only very light child-related housekeeping would be expected, such as:
• Preparing bottles and batch cooking/making children’s meal
• Tidying activities and play areas
• Loading/unloading the dishwasher
• General tidying related to the children (such as toys away/hoovering any mess made etc)
No heavy household cleaning would be required.
