About Me
As a parent myself, I understand how much trust families place in the person caring for their child. I believe every child is unique and that children thrive when they feel safe, loved, listened to and encouraged to be themselves.
My aim is to provide a warm and nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel secure, happy and excited to learn, play and explore. I want every child in my care to feel valued, supported and included as part of our family setting.
The name Little Lemon’s has a special meaning to us, as Lemon is my partner’s and our son’s surname. I wanted the name of my childminding setting to reflect its warm, personal and family-centred feel.
My goal is simple: to make a positive difference in children’s lives while giving parents peace of mind that their little ones are safe, happy and well cared for.
My Experience
For the past three years, I have worked as a one-to-one teaching assistant, supporting children across the early years and Key Stage 1 with their learning, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
Watching a child overcome challenges, begin to believe in themselves and achieve something they once thought was impossible has been the most rewarding part of my career. These experiences confirmed that working with children is where I feel I can make the greatest difference.
My experience has given me a strong understanding of children’s developmental, educational and emotional needs. I have supported children through play-based learning and continuous provision and have experience of approaches including the Curiosity Approach, Attention Autism and Intensive Interaction.
I am patient, reliable and confident in adapting activities, communication and support to suit each child’s individual personality, interests, needs and abilities.
I am committed to working closely with families to provide consistent care and encouragement, helping every child to feel valued and supported as they grow, learn and thrive.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
I offer government-funded childcare for eligible children from nine months old, including 15 and 30 funded hours where applicable.
Funded hours are offered on a term-time basis over 38 weeks of the year and are not stretched across the school holidays.
All funded places are subject to eligibility, a valid funding code and confirmation from Hertfordshire County Council. Parents are responsible for applying for their funding code and reconfirming their eligibility when required.
Until the funding has been approved and is in place, all childcare will be charged privately at my usual hourly rate. Funding cannot be applied retrospectively to childcare that has already been provided.
There is no additional consumables charge for accessing a funded place. Parents are asked to provide their child’s lunch or main meal, nappies and wipes where required. Breakfast, snacks and water are provided.
Any hours used above the funded entitlement, or childcare required during non-funded weeks, will be charged at my usual hourly rate.
