My Experience

I have gained valuable experience working with children of a variety of ages and abilities, allowing me to provide high-quality, personalised care that meets each child’s individual needs.

I have over a year of professional experience working in a nursery, where I cared for young children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of child development, effective communication, and the importance of creating engaging activities that support children’s learning and wellbeing.

In addition to my nursery experience, I have volunteered with children aged 0–8 for approximately three years. During this time, I have supported children with a wide range of abilities, developmental needs, dietary requirements, and additional needs. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt my approach to suit each child, ensuring they feel included, valued, and supported.

I have also provided babysitting services for many families, caring for children of different ages, from babies and toddlers to older children. This has given me experience in managing a variety of daily routines, including meal preparation, bedtime routines, educational and creative play, and ensuring children feel safe, happy, and comfortable while in my care.

Throughout all of my childcare experience, I have developed strong skills in building positive relationships with both children and their families. My qualifications include:

*DBS Check – Providing reassurance that I have been thoroughly vetted to work with children.
* Level 3 Early Years Qualification – Equipping me with the knowledge and practical skills to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
* Paediatric First Aid Certificate – Enabling me to respond confidently and appropriately in emergency situations while prioritising children’s safety.
* Food Hygiene and Cooking Certificate – Allowing me to prepare safe, nutritious meals and snacks while following appropriate food safety standards and accommodating individual dietary requirements.

I regularly apply the knowledge and skills gained through these qualifications in my childcare practice, ensuring that every child is cared for in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. Parents can have confidence that their children are in the care of someone who is qualified, responsible, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of childcare.
