My Summary
About Me
I am Kemi a caring, reliable, and passionate childcare professional with a Level 3 in Childcare and Education, safeguarding and core skills of a nanny. I hold a clear DBS check, First Aid Training, Food Hygiene certification, NVQ Level 2 in Understanding Autism, and a good understanding of ADHD.
As a mother, a mental health professional and a youth worker I have both personal and professional experience in supporting children with additional needs. This has strengthened my passion for helping babies and children grow, learn, and develop in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
I am also Ofsted registered, which means I am able to accept funded childcare placements. I pride myself on creating a warm, caring, and stimulating setting where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
My Experience
I am an experienced and compassionate professional with a strong background in mental health nursing, childcare, youth work, and community support. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages, promoting wellbeing, safeguarding vulnerable people, and making a positive impact within the community.
As a Mental Health Nurse, I have supported individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges by providing compassionate, person-centred care. My role has involved promoting emotional wellbeing, carrying out assessments, supporting care plans, administering medication where required, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support services to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
As a Nanny and Childcare Practitioner, I have cared for children of different ages and developmental needs, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports learning and growth. I have experience planning engaging activities, supporting children’s emotional and social development, assisting with daily routines, and building positive relationships with families. My understanding of SEN needs, including Autism and ADHD, has enabled me to provide inclusive and supportive care tailored to each child’s individual needs.
In my role as a Youth Worker, I have supported young people by providing guidance, encouragement, and a safe space where they feel heard and valued. I have helped young people build confidence, develop life skills, make positive choices, and overcome personal growth. I have encouraged personal growth, inclusion, and positive wellbeing among young people from diverse backgrounds.
I am passionate about supporting and empowering members of the community through advocacy, volunteering, and organising initiatives that promote unity, wellbeing, and social support. My ability to connect with people from all walks of life, alongside my caring and approachable nature, allows me to build trusting relationships and positively contribute to the wellbeing of the wider community.
