My Summary
About Me
Hi!
We're currently in the pre-registration process, getting everything ready to open a warm, nurturing, and inspiring home-from-home childcare setting.
We're a two-person team, supported by registered assistants, allowing us to provide consistency, stability, and familiar faces for the children in our care. Together, we bring a wealth of experience supporting children with a wide range of needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN). This has given us a strong understanding of how to adapt environments, routines, and communication so every child feels safe, understood, and able to thrive.
At The Hidden Hideout, we're creating a calm, cosy, nature-inspired space where children can explore, play, and learn at their own pace.
We're particularly passionate about:
- Child-led learning and following children's interests
- Sensory and play-based experiences
- Supporting communication, including AAC awareness
- Building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and essential life skills
We believe every child deserves to feel valued, capable, and celebrated for who they are. Our approach is gentle, inclusive, and tailored to each child's individual needs.
While we're currently pre-registration, we're welcoming enquiries and building connections with families ahead of opening.
If you're looking for a setting that prioritises emotional wellbeing, communication, creativity, and a genuine love for children's development, we'd love to hear from you.
We hope to welcome children into our setting from September!
My Experience
As a team, we bring a wide range of experience working with children across early years, education, and family support.
Our experience includes working within nursery environments, supporting early development through play-based learning, daily routines, and creating safe, engaging spaces where children can grow, learn, and explore.
We also have extensive experience within specialist Special Educational Needs (SEN) education, supporting children with a variety of additional needs. Alongside this, our experience includes leading SEN provision, identifying individual needs, adapting learning approaches, and working closely with families and other professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.
In addition to our professional roles, we also bring experience as parents, fostering experiences and within enhanced SEN provision. These experiences have given us invaluable insight into supporting children who may have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties, communication differences, or require additional emotional support. They have strengthened our ability to provide a nurturing, patient, and understanding environment for every child.
Between us, we also bring the perspective of parenthood, giving us a real-life understanding of children's routines, development, and the importance of building strong partnerships with families.
Together, our experience has shaped our passion for creating a safe, loving, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and able to flourish.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
We offer a combination of funded hours and private paid sessions, structured to support consistency and routine for each child.
We prioritise full-day and regular contracted bookings, as this helps children build secure relationships and establish familiar routines within our setting.
Fees will be discussed during the enquiry process to ensure clarity and to find the best fit for your family's needs.
Due to our limited spaces and commitment to providing high-quality care, we recommend making an enquiry as early as possible to avoid disappointment!
