My Summary
About Me
Hi!
I’m currently in the pre-registration process! getting everything ready to open a warm, nurturing, and inspiring home-from-home childcare setting.
I have extensive experience of supporting children with a wide range of needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This has given me a strong understanding of how to adapt environments, routines, and communication to ensure every child feels safe, understood, and able to thrive.
At The Hidden Hideout, I’m creating a calm, cosy, nature-inspired space where children can explore, play, and learn at their own pace.
I’m particularly passionate about:
Child-led learning and curiosity
Sensory and play-based experiences
Supporting communication (including AAC awareness)
Building strong, trusting relationships with both children and families
I believe every child deserves to feel valued, capable, and celebrated for who they are. My approach is gentle, inclusive, and tailored to each individual child.
While I am currently pre-registration, I am welcoming enquiries and building connections with families ahead of opening.
If you’re looking for a setting that prioritises emotional wellbeing, creativity, and a genuine love for children’s development, I’d love to hear from you!
(Hoping to welcome children into the setting from September)
My Experience
I have worked within a nursery environment, supporting early development through play-based learning, routines, and creating a safe, engaging space for young children to grow and explore.
I have also worked in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school supporting children with a variety of additional needs. Alongside this, I have experience taking on a SENCo role, where I supported with identifying needs, adapting learning approaches, and working closely with families and professionals to ensure every child received the right support.
In addition to my professional roles, I am also a foster carer, which has given me invaluable experience in supporting children who may have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties, or require additional emotional support. This has strengthened my ability to provide a nurturing, patient, and understanding environment.
Most importantly, I am a mum, which brings real-life, day-to-day understanding of children’s needs, routines, and development. It has deepened my passion for creating a safe, loving, and supportive space where children can truly thrive.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and a Level 3 SENCo qualification, supporting my ability to provide high-quality, inclusive care tailored to each child’s individual needs.
I am fully trained in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding, ensuring I can provide a safe and secure environment where children’s wellbeing is always the priority.
I have also completed training in:
Trauma awareness, supporting children with additional emotional needs
Understanding autism, enabling me to adapt communication and environments effectively
Food hygiene, ensuring safe preparation and handling of meals
Alongside my qualifications, I bring extensive hands-on experience from working in nursery settings, a SEN school, and as a foster carer.
This combination allows me to offer a nurturing, knowledgeable, and highly supportive environment for all children, including those with additional needs.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and continuously enhancing my skills to provide the highest standard of care.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I offer a combination of funded hours and private paid sessions, structured to support consistency and routine for each child.
Funded hours are available between 9:00am – 3:00pm
Wraparound care (before and after these hours) is charged at my standard hourly rate
I prioritise full-day and regular contracted bookings, as this supports children in building secure relationships and routines within my setting.

Due to limited spaces and a high standard of care, I recommend early enquiries to avoid disappointment!
