My Requirements

THE ROLE
This is a part-time position running Monday to Thursday during term time, with pre-agreed additional hours during school holidays. There may also be an occasional need for Friday cover and post-7:30pm babysitting during term time — all to be mutually agreed well in advance. The role suits someone who is reliable, punctual, confident driving children to activities, and happy to be flexible around our family's schedule.
CORE HOURS — MONDAY TO THURSDAY (TERM TIME)
Morning: 7:30 – 8:30 am | Drop-off
Afternoon/Evening: 3:30 – 7:30 pm | Pick-up and evening childcare (4 hours)
Total: 20 hours per week during term time
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS & ADDITIONAL HOURS
We anticipate needing additional hours during school holidays — typically for activity club drop-offs and pick-ups, outings, and general daytime childcare. Hours and activities will vary depending on our family plans and will be discussed and agreed at least 4 weeks in advance. The same hourly rate applies throughout.

We also welcome the possibility of the nanny joining us on family holidays, subject to mutual agreement and with all travel, accommodation, meals, and expenses covered by us.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safe and punctual school drop-off and pick-up
• Transporting children to activity clubs and after-school activities during holidays
• Supervising homework, reading, and creative play
• Preparing children's tea and snacks
• Light tidying related to the children (toys, kitchen after meals)
• Maintaining a calm, structured, and nurturing environment
• Communicating openly with parents about the children's day
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Proven experience with school-age children
• Full UK driving licence and confidence driving our children (own vehicle an advantage)
• Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Enhanced DBS check
