About Me

I am 54 years of age , I have a 34 yr old daughter , a 25 yr old daughter and a 16 yr old granddaughter. My granddaughter lives with myself , my husband and my 25 yr old daughter.
I am no longer working due to suffering a life changing injury in 2021, I worked as a child protection officer for 15 years prior to my injury. I am a fully approved foster carer so I’m fully vetted. I am not only an experienced parent , grandmother ,babysitter to friends and family members.
I am a trained individual who provides a safe , stable and nurturing family environment for babies , young children and teenagers.

Before achieving approved status, foster Swansea conduct very rigorous safeguarding and background checks on all adults who live within our household.

Health assessment
References both personal and professional
Home and pet safety

All the above are absolutely necessary but along with these checks I would invite you to my home to meet myself and other family members if there available.

I genuinely love and enjoy looking after little ones, I have a warm and nurturing Demeanour. I provide a gentle family orientated atmosphere where your child would feel safe , happy and emotionally supported.

I enjoy going for walks , reading stories and playful activity according of age.

I am very friendly , calm, empathetic , good listener and confidential person, I enjoy meeting people and believe communication and consistency is key.

I have a natural ability to bond with babies ,toddlers , children and young people due to being so calm, patient and attentive.

I am reliable , trustworthy , punctual and respect and stick to the parents routines in regards of feeding and napping. I will be more than happy for the parent to contact me regular for peace of mind. I will be more than happy to do a trial run.

I have a full clean driving licence, i would be happy to babysit on weekends and over nights if required. My 25 yr old daughter works away in as a qualified child residential manager. My husband also works away as a high profile body guard.

3 weeks out of 4 there is just myself and my 16 yet granddaughter at home so I’m very flexible.

I can provide references and also share the contact information for my fostering social worker and the child social worker from children I’ve cared for.

Childminding is the most rewarding job and I can honestly say I absolutely love building bonds with the child and parents.

My preference would be to babysit in my own home.
