I have previous experience working as a Maternity Support Worker in the postnatal ward, where I supported both mothers and newborn babies.
My role involved helping with newborn care such as changing nappies, supporting mothers with breastfeeding and positioning, bottle feeding, monitoring blood pressure, temperature checks and being a first point of contact for reassurance and support throughout their stay.
I have also worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school, which helped me build strong communication skills with children and taught me how to create a safe, supportive and positive environment for them.
