About Me
Hi! My name is Laura. I live in Flixton with my three teenage daughters and our two cats, Callie and Saffie. I will be offering full time/part time, term time only places.
I have worked in childcare since I was sixteen, I began my journey as a nursery nurse and then became the deputy manger of a small day nursery. After my children were born I needed a job that fit around school times and so began working as a teaching assistant . During that time I competed my early years degree and decided to take the plunge to train as a teacher. I have a PDGE with qts in primary education and have worked with both nursery and reception children during this time. My heart has always been in early years and so I’ve decided the time has come to become a childminder and provide children and families with a home away from home. A place where children feel safe, are nurtured, listened to and valued. I am in the process of completing a Hygge accreditation and firmly believe that a slower paced day allows children to develop their self regulation skills.
My home is smoke free.
I do drive and have parks, nature reserves, libraries within walking distance. I also have a large garden that children can access daily.
My Experience
I have 3 teenage children of my own that I have raised independently. I have experience working with children from a multitude of backgrounds and also have experience of working with children with a range of needs. Children are at the heart of everything I do, and I want to provide the best care possible whilst working with families to do this
My Qualifications
I am a qualified teacher with a degree in early years. Ive worked with children for over 25 years and have 3 daughters. I have worked with children from a range of different background and also have experience of working with children with additional needs.
Early years is my passion and I cannot wait to begin my journey as a childminder
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Taking on children with both funded hours and non funded hours
