Hello, my name is Linda and I am currently a pre-registered childminder, now accepting bookings for September.
Becoming a childminder has been a dream built through years of working in the co-operative field, my love for children, and my own personal journey as a mother. Like many parents, I experienced the stress and frustration of trying to find reliable childcare when after-school clubs were full and local childminders had no availability. That experience inspired me to create the kind of childcare service I once needed myself caring, trustworthy, flexible and family-focused.
I am passionate about supporting children in a safe, happy and nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, develop confidence and feel truly valued. I also understand how important it is for parents to feel reassured that their children are being cared for with patience, kindness and genuine attention.
Being located next to Raglan Schools is a huge advantage for local families, as I will be offering convenient school drop-offs, pick-ups and holiday club care to help support busy working parents and make daily routines easier.
My previous professional experience, combined with the challenges I have overcome in life, has made me a stronger, more resilient and compassionate person. I bring that same strength, dedication and understanding into my childcare setting every day.
My goal is not only to care for children, but to build trusting relationships with families and create a home-from-home environment where every child feels safe, happy and encouraged to thrive.
My Experience
Although I may not have previous professional childminding experience, I believe my real-life experience as a parent has given me valuable skills, knowledge and understanding needed to care for children confidently and responsibly.
As a mother myself, I understand children’s emotional, social and developmental needs, as well as the importance of creating a safe, loving and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, supported and happy.
My decision to become a childminder comes from genuine passion, patience and care for children, combined with the life experience I have gained through raising my own children and supporting families around me over the years.
I have also completed the necessary training and preparations required for registration, and I am fully committed to providing high-quality childcare where parents can feel reassured that their children are in safe and caring hands.
I believe that sometimes personal experience, dedication and genuine love for children can be just as valuable as years of professional experience.
My Qualifications
Alongside completing childcare training and preparing for my registration, I also hold a Law degree, which has strengthened my understanding of responsibility, safeguarding, professionalism and working with care and integrity.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.30 per hour
My fees are £75 a day Fees include healthy meals and snacks, drinks, local outings, wipes, and dairy-free alternatives where needed.
I welcome funded childcare for children aged 9 months+ including Tax-Free Childcare, Childcare Vouchers, 15 & 30 funded hours, and Childcare Grants.
