Job Title: Nanny / Housekeeper (Part-Time)
• Hours: Minimum 24 hours per week (52 weeks/year)
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–7:00pm, Friday 2:00pm–6:00pm.
• Holiday Entitlement: 20 days pro rata
• Location: Wimbledon Park
• Start date: July 2026
Role Summary
We are seeking a reliable, warm, and proactive Nanny / Housekeeper to support our family on weekday afternoons. The role is predominantly focused on school pick-up and after-school care for our 7-year-old son, alongside regular housekeeping support and dog walking. There will be flexibility for additional hours in the holidays and occasional babysitting.

Key Responsibilities
Childcare / School Runs (primary focus)
• School pick-up each weekday and safe supervision on the journey home. School is within walking distance of our home.
• Help with drop-offs to after-school clubs/activities and or play dates as required
• Provide attentive, age-appropriate after-school care (play, reading, activities, outdoor time)
• Support homework/reading routines as appropriate
• Prepare and cook tea/dinner for the child
• Maintain a safe, calm, and tidy environment and follow family routines
Housekeeping (when time allows / as part of routine)
• Make beds and tidy the child’s bedroom
• Tidy toys away and keep common areas organized
• Clean the kitchen, including surfaces and sinks
• Load/unload and clear/put away the dishwasher
• Vacuum the ground floor
• Mop the kitchen floor
• Clean bathrooms (general bathroom cleaning and refresh)
• Laundry: washing and drying, folding and putting away
• We also have a cleaner once a week for deep cleaning.
Meal Prep / Household Support
• Food preparation and cooking for the child (as agreed for the household)
• Food shopping and running errands on occasion (e.g., top-up shops, basic household items)
Dog Walking / Pet Care
• Walk the family dog (a pug) and provide basic pet care support as needed (pet-friendly attitude essential)
Requirements
• Prior experience as a nanny and/or housekeeper in a private household
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Confident with school pick-ups and managing after-school schedules
• Comfortable cooking simple, healthy meals for a child
• Organized, proactive, and able to work independently
• Pet-friendly and comfortable walking a dog
• Trustworthy, punctual, and reliable
• References available on request
Desirable (but not required)
• Paediatric First Aid certification
• Driving licence (depending on school/club locations)
• Self Employed
What We Offer
• Consistent schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–7:00pm, Friday 2:00pm–6:00pm. (minimum 24 hours/week)
