About Me

Hi, my name is Emma and I live in Elstow with my husband and foster children. I am a newly registered childminder with a lifelong passion for caring for children and supporting their development.

I have three adult children of my own and currently care for three foster children, alongside having lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Through both family life and fostering, I have gained a wealth of hands-on experience with children of different ages and needs.

I love spending time outdoors, exploring nature, and creating fun, engaging activities for children. Watching children grow in confidence, learn new skills, and develop into the best they can be is something I find incredibly rewarding.

I aim to provide a warm, safe, and caring environment where every child feels happy, valued, and supported to thrive

My Experience

I have many years of experience caring for children through both my personal and professional life. As a mother to three adult children, a foster mum, and part of a large family with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, I have extensive hands-on experience supporting children of all ages.

Alongside this, I have worked in the care sector for the past 20 years, supporting both children and adults with complex needs. For the last seven years, I have worked for Bedford Borough Council within the Adult and Children’s team’s, where I have gained valuable experience supporting vulnerable adults, children and families.

My experience has given me a strong understanding of children’s individual needs and the importance of providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

My Qualifications

Throughout my career, I have completed a wide range of professional training in many aspects of childcare, safeguarding, and care practice.
I also hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s ?Services.

My Availability

I offer term-time-only childcare, although I aim to be flexible where possible to support families’ needs.

My working hours will be Monday to Thursday, from 7:30am until 5:30pm.

I am happy to discuss individual requirements and will always try to accommodate families where I can.
