My Experience

I studied pediatric nursing as a core subject and have hands-on experience caring for all age groups:
- Newborns: Feeding, burping, safe sleep positioning, cord care, recognising signs of illness, and supporting new parents.
- Infants 0-12 months: Weaning support, developmental milestones, soothing techniques, and maintaining hygiene/sterilisation for bottles and toys.
- Toddlers 1-3 years: Managing tantrums calmly, potty training, toddler-proofing spaces, and engaging in age-appropriate play for motor and speech development.
- School-age kids 4+: Help with homework, structured routines, managing minor injuries, and recognising signs of common childhood illnesses like asthma or allergies.
Additional Skills
- First Aid & CPR trained with clinical experience handling emergencies.
- Comfortable administering medications, managing allergies, asthma inhalers, and special dietary needs.
- Experience supporting children with special needs and post-hospital care.
- Strong understanding of infection control, hygiene, and child safeguarding from my nursing background.
- Reliable, patient, and calm under pressure. I keep kids safe while making sure they have fun.

My Qualifications

Qualified BSc Nurse – Registered, with 4 years of clinical nursing experience
- Currently studying MSc Nursing at the University of Salford
- Pediatric Nursing covered as a core subject during BSc training
- Trained in Paediatric First Aid & CPR – confident handling emergencies, choking, fevers, and minor injuries
- Child Safeguarding – strong understanding of child protection, safety, and confidentiality from NHS/clinical practice
- Medication Administration – experienced with allergies, asthma inhalers, EpiPens, and routine medications
- Infection Control & Hygiene – clinical standards for handwashing, sterilisation, and safe food handling
- Experience with Newborn to School-Age Care – feeding, sleep routines, developmental milestones, post-hospital care
- DBS Check available on request

My Availability

My schedule is flexible and I can adapt according to your family’s needs. I’m available for:
- Weekday evenings and weekends
- Morning or afternoon slots during the week
- Occasional overnight stays if required
- Short-notice or emergency cover whenever possible

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour

As a qualified nurse with paediatric experience, my rates start from £12.75/hr depending on the number of children, hours, and duties required. I’m happy to discuss a fair rate based on your family’s needs. Overnight and short-notice care available – message me for a quote.
