My Summary
About Me
I am a caring, patient, and highly experienced support professional with over five years’ experience working with children and young people across specialist education settings, mainstream schools, and pupil referral units. I have supported children from early years through to secondary age, including those with autism, complex learning needs, and social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
Originally from Wales, I studied Drama and Film at the University of Exeter, which strengthened my creativity, communication skills, and understanding of expression and storytelling. My background in the arts continues to influence my practice, particularly in building connection, engagement, and confidence with the children I support.
My professional experience has given me a calm, adaptable, and child-centred approach. I focus on building strong, trusting relationships with children and creating a safe and supportive environment where they feel understood and able to engage at their own pace.
I have extensive experience using communication strategies such as PECS, AAC devices, and visual supports, as well as supporting personal care, sensory regulation, and emotional wellbeing. I am confident working one-to-one or in group settings and enjoy helping children feel included, regulated, and confident.
I am passionate about supporting children in a way that meets their individual needs and helps them thrive emotionally, socially, and educationally.
My Experience
