My Experience

I have worked for three years as a Teaching Assistant in a special needs secondary school, supporting young people with a wide range of complex needs, learning difficulties, and disabilities. This includes helping with daily routines, personal care, behaviour support, and learning activities — all while keeping children safe and supported. Outside of school, I’ve babysat children from babies up to teens for over 5 years, for family, friends, and local families. I’m used to handling different ages, needs, and situations calmly and responsibly, and I always put the child’s wellbeing first.

My Qualifications

I work professionally in a school setting, so I have full experience working with children and young people, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. I understand safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety procedures thoroughly. I’m trained in supporting complex needs, personal care, and positive behaviour strategies. I have plenty of hands?on experience, patience, and a natural ability to connect with children of all ages. I also hold relevant school?based training and I’m happy to share references from my work and previous babysitting roles.

My Availability

I am available every school half?term, all summer holidays, and all school breaks, I can work full days, mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends during these times. I am not available during normal school term?time weekdays, but can sometimes help on term?time evenings or weekends if arranged well in advance. I’m very flexible during holidays and happy to fit around your plans.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

My rate is £8.50 – £10.00 per hour, depending on the number of children, their ages, and any additional needs or care required. For evenings, weekends, or longer days during holidays, we can agree a fair rate upfront. I’m flexible and happy to discuss what works for you — I always make sure my prices are clear and great value for reliable, experienced care.
