My Experience

I have a year of au pair experience which I gained from spending a year abroad in Canada caring for 3 children with very busy parents. This was a live-in role where my main responsibilities included helping the children get ready and get to school, light housework, preparing meals and caring for one child who was not yet of school age. I built a close relationship with my host family and genuinely enjoyed every moment I spent with them, from reading books together to going out for fun activities. As well as this, I also currently work as a Teaching Assistant in an SEMH primary school, where I have learned lots about different behaviour styles and how to best support children according to their individual needs. I am based in a Key Stage 2 learning environment where I often work one to one with students aged 9-11 and help them to engage with school work and socially with other children. This position has allowed me to build trusting relationships with the childen in my class and has given me valuable knowledge of the communication styles shown by children with Autism, ADHD and other behavioural challenges.

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and a full driving license

My Availability

Since I have an existing job in a school, I am looking for hours which fit around my current work schedule which is 8:00-16:00 Monday to Friday. I am particularly interested in weekend hours but can also be flexible with evenings on weekdays.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I am looking for around £12-£15 per hour
