About Me
We are looking for an experienced, kind and dependable nanny to join our family and provide care for our wonderful 5-year-old daughter.
This is a long-term position for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting children to thrive in a nurturing, fun and structured environment. We are looking for a nanny who will become a trusted and valued part of our family, building a strong relationship with our daughter while encouraging her confidence, independence and development through engaging play and positive routines.
Reliability, warmth and a proactive approach are essential, and we would love to find someone who is passionate about helping children flourish and who is looking for a role where they can make a real difference.
We also have two Russian blue house cats who are very friendly
My Requirements
Salary: £31,000 per annum, equivalent to £22 per hour, paid as a consistent monthly salary with hours annualised across term time and school holidays.
Start Date:
January 2027 with some introductory days in December
Term Time Hours
* Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 8:00pm
* one Friday afternoon babysitting session per month (approximately 4 hours)
Primary Responsibilities
* School collection
Taking to after school activities Gym and swimming
* After-school care and evening routine
School Holidays
* Monday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
* Tuesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
* Wednesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
* Thursday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
We are happy to be flexible with the exact hours by mutual agreement to suit both the family’s and nanny’s needs.
Responsibilities
* Collect our daughter from school.
* Take her to after-school activities, including swimming and gymnastics.
* Support with homework and educational activities.
* Organise playdates and engaging, age-appropriate activities.
* Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where she can thrive.
* Prepare healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for our daughter.
* Support established routines while encouraging confidence and independence.
* Assist with light nursery duties, including children’s laundry, keeping bedrooms and play areas tidy, organising toys and clothing, and ensuring school bags and activities are prepared.
* Be happy to adapt to the changing needs of a busy family.
* Drive when required and assist with occasional family errands.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ professional nanny or childcare experience.
* A recognised Early Years or childcare qualification is preferred.
* Experience supporting children with additional needs/SEND is highly desirable.
* Enhanced DBS certificate.
* Current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
* Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a child.
* Excellent references and the right to work in the UK.
