We're a friendly family of three living in Oxford. I work part-time for an environmental nonprofit and my husband is a PhD student. We moved to Oxford from California two years ago and are really enjoying our time in this beautiful town. We love to take country walks and explore new towns in Oxfordshire. We love cooking meals together, listening to music, watching classic films, and getting fresh coffee.
My Requirements
About the role:
We need someone who can come to our home for a few hours at a time, primarily during the work day, but we'd also love someone available for occasional evenings or weekends. Our son goes to nursery Thursdays & Fridays, but we could use someone to come for a few hours on Mon, Tues, or Wed. Hours are flexible and we can collaborate on a schedule that works for you and for us week-to-week.
What we're looking for:
- Experience caring for babies or young infants (under 12 months)
- Warm, calm, and engaging personality – our son is a bubbly, social little boy who loves interaction and playing together
- Reliable and punctual
- Paediatric first aid certification (or willingness to obtain one)
- Valid DBS check
**Ideal background**
We'd love to hear from people with a background in nursing, early childhood education, childcare, or a related field – though we welcome applications from anyone with genuine infant experience and strong references.
