We’re really excited to start our search and hopefully find someone who will be a great fit for our family.
We are a friendly family of four living in New Barnet, North London. We have two wonderful children, our daughter has just turned 4 and our little boy is 2. They are both kind, well-behaved, happy kids! They love playing, doing arts and crafts and being outdoors especially going to the playground. My husband and I work from home, but we’re often in and out with meetings.
We also have a cavapoo who is adorable, very friendly and well trained, so you would need to be comfortable with dogs and also happy to take her for a walk sometimes.
We would love to welcome a reliable, patient, responsible nanny, who’s also a lot of fun and enjoys spending time with young children joining in with their games, activities and everyday routines.
My Requirements
The role would involve some help getting the kids ready for school and preparing breakfast, but my husband and I will be around, so it’s just an extra pair of hands in the mornings.
After school, we need help from around 3.45pm each weekday, which is when my daughter gets back home. My son usually gets home closer to 5.30pm, occasionally, we might ask you to walk and collect him from nursery, which is a 10 minute walk away, or if its raining you can jump on the bus as the bus stop is super close to our house. This would usually involve doing an activity with the children, playing with them, preparing their dinner, helping with bath time and then getting them ready for bed around 7pm. Often my husband or I will be at home, but not always.
We have a cleaner who comes once a week, but we would need help with light housework, especially tidying up after the kids, and putting their toys away.
We would like some flexibility for occasional babysitting one evening during the week, and then either one evening or one morning on the weekend. This wouldn’t necessarily be every week as we don’t always have plans, so it would be more as and when.
We’re really looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around children and is happy to become part of our family and help make the busy parts of the day run a little more smoothly.
