My Experience

I've worked as a private nanny since 2012, caring for children from newborns through to age 12. For much of that time I babysat regularly, on and off, for two particular families between 2012 and 2021 — long-standing relationships that gave me real insight into supporting children as they grow. Last year, from May to August, I cared for a couple's baby four days a week, from three to seven months old, so I'm very comfortable with the routines and close attention infants need. My care covers everything from daily schedules, school runs and meal prep to homework help and play-based learning, and I'm happy to provide overnight or late-night care when needed. Most recently I've spent the past three months working as supply staff in a nursery, which has broadened my experience into a group setting and sharpened my ability to adapt quickly to new children and environments.

My Qualifications

I'm a member of the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme, Scotland's official background-check system for people working with children. I've also completed full child safeguarding training as part of my recent nursery role, and I'm certified in both child and adult first aid and CPR, completed in March of this year. I take safeguarding and child safety seriously and keep my training up to date so families can feel completely confident leaving their children in my care. References are available upon request.

My Availability

I am a full time masters student at The University of Edinburgh so am readily available for childcare during the week, weekends, and evenings.
