About Me
I’m a 26 year-old primary school teaching assistant that has grown up in London, because of this I feel very comfortable and confident navigating the city. Being the oldest of two younger brothers I began working with children from a very early age and quickly learnt I thoroughly enjoy it. I am a fine art graduate from Chelsea College of Art London. I feel the fast-paced nature of working with children matches the kind of energetic and passionate environment I'm currently situated in. I’m extremely outgoing and comfortable with new families in whatever shape they may take. I also work within artist education for children and young people, I have curated numerous workshops I carry out with groups of kids and would be very happy to introduce this creative background to any babysitting roles.
My Experience
- I have been working within primary school education across early years and with several SEN students since March 2025.
-Began childminding as an assistant to families with roles such as: picking up the children from school, feeding, bathing and clothing them.
- I then became a loyal and key part of families with a set rota and timetable I would adhere to. My roles then included taking the children out for outings for several hours at a time, staying with the children overnight and putting them to bed.
- Doing homework with the children and overall encouraging their learning and thinking. Following the routine that best suits the child whilst also keeping their environment diverse and interactive.
- I maintained a safe environment for these children constantly. Understanding any allergens or medical issues any single child had and acting accordingly to sustain their good health at all times. Alongside this, I created an emotionally safe space for the children to express themselves confidently whilst supporting their mental and emotional health. I have learnt how to keep surroundings safe and stay alert relentlessly to ensure their protection for the time they’re in my care.
- I’ve adopted an upbeat attitude throughout my time working with children - supporting them to explore to the best of their abilities. Having fun whilst feeling engaged and understood.
My Qualifications
I have received basic and up to date safeguarding training through the education sectors I have worked within. I am also Enhanced DBS certified.
