About Me

I am a loving and caring nanny with over twenty years of childcare experience, coupled with a BA(Hons) in Education and Childhood Studies. This allows me to offer both practical and theoretical knowledge of child development. I adore looking after children, and pride myself on being able to build strong bonds with the children in my care by providing a caring, nurturing environment where each child can explore and learn in a variety of ways. I am fully committed to enhancing every child’s social, emotional and educational development, allowing them to achieve aspirations and reach their full potential.
In addition to my professional experience, I am a mum to four wonderful children, and a grandparent to three beautiful grandchildren.
I have had vast experience of special needs as three of my children have autism, one has ADHD, one is hearing impaired and one has dyslexia. Therefore, I fully understand that no two children are the same and I am able to adapt easily to differing situations as necessary.
For the last thirteen years, I have been a teaching assistant within the foundation phase and Key Stage 1. I now lead teach a class of children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, three days a week.
Starting in February 2018, I was an after school and weekend nanny for four children - triplets (11 months up to age 3) and an older sibling (4 years up to age 7). This position ended June 2020 due to Covid-19.
I then started a new position, taking care of two children aged 15mths and 3yrs, following on with the birth of another baby who I cared for from newborn.
I have also previously worked as a nanny for other families, taking sole charge of children from newborn to age eight.
I have an Enhanced Criminal Records Certificate (DBS) on the update service and have an up to date First Aid Certificate which includes Paediatric First Aid.
