About Me

Hi, my name is Amy and I'm an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in a Lovely Village on the Isle of Wight.

At Greenwood Little Learners
I offer care for children from 9 months and up in a nurturing home environment, which has a separate playroom with direct access to a lovely garden where the children have year-round access with a mud kitchen, providing the perfect space for them to play and explore and plant and grow their own fruits and vegetables.

The children have their own toilet, for washing hands, brushing their teeth and potty training.

I have three wonderful children of my own that are 6, 12 and 14 years old.
we have 2 little dog's (Pug's) and a very fluffy cat.

I have designed my area with this in mind, so that pets are safely away from the Children at all times with a wooden fence so both can enjoy the outside.

I love baking, and will often incorporate this into fun activities.

Being at a childminding setting gives so many opportunities to go out and explore the community, from shopping for new fruit to try or buying our baking ingredients, or heading to the library for our next story! We will often head out to fun places like the park, beach or the zoo and toddler groups.

My environment is easily adaptable to suit the age and development of each child.

I also enjoy arts and crafts and coming up with fun activities to keep little one busy.

I have first hand experience with SEN from my own child and other family members.

I use an app called babysdays, this is a fantastic application for communication of all important items such as contracts, policies, permissions, along with updates on children's day to day activities and learning.
