My Experience

I am currently a swimming teacher and have been teaching swimming to all ages and abilities both in a group setting and 1-1 for over 6 years. I create safe, fun and enjoyable experiences for children whilst encouraging them to build water confidence, understand the importance of water safety and help them learn such a valuable life skill.

Alongside my swim teaching I have regularly babysat for families, caring for children in their own homes. My responsibilities have included supervising play, preparing meals and snacks, helping with bedtime routines and most importantly making sure children are safe, happy and well cared for. I have built strong relationships with both children and parents by being reliable and responsible and attentive to each family’s individual routines and preferences.

As a lifeguard, I have developed strong safety awareness and quick thinking skills as well as being able to stay calm under pressure. Working in this role has reinforced the importance of vigilance, responsibility and providing a safe environment for everyone.

These roles put together gives me the confidence and skills to be able to provide reliable and nurturing childcare and build excellent rapport with children and parents.

My Qualifications

Enhanced DBS Check
First Aid Qualified.
I hold a National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification.
Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification.
Relevant safeguarding training for working with children.
