About Me
Hello, I'm a final-year university student with a genuine love for spending time with children and an aspiring secondary school teacher. I am looking for casual babysitting jobs while I complete my training this summer. My interests include learning languages (I speak English, Spanish and Japanese, and am currently learning British Sign Language), reading and painting.
My Experience
I have four younger siblings, ranging in age from 3 to 16 years old. I have been a hands-on big sister, looking after them on my own from when they were little babies, and caring for all of them at the same time. Not only do I have experience changing nappies, managing bedtime routines and keeping them entertained, but I also step in when things get tricky!
Alongside growing up in a big family, I have worked directly with children through outreach programmes at my university. I have planned and run interactive sessions for primary school pupils, including Spanish lessons and outdoor games.
My Qualifications
Expected 1st class degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics. I have completed a dementia friends training and safeguarding for older memebers.
My Availability
My training is online, with some in person dates that I would be unavailble for and can let you know in advance. I am busy on weekdays 9-5, so I am happy to babysit in the evenings. Most in-person sessions take place on Saturdays, so I am fully available on Sundays. I will be available until mid-August.
