Reliable & Proactive Housekeeper Needed for Family Home in Stoke Newington

The Role
We’re looking for someone to come in for 8 hours per week, ideally split over 2 days. With the potential to do nursery pickups at 5pm.
What You’ll Be Doing
We need more than just a cleaner; we’re looking for someone to help us manage the household as we both work full time. Key responsibilities include:
General Cleaning: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and kitchen sanitation. Occasional deep clean, fridge, cooker, cupboards etc
Laundry & Linens: Washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes; changing bed linens.
Organisation: Keeping cupboards, playrooms, and general living spaces tidy and clutter-free.
Simple Meal Prep: Help with simple food prep for the toddler—washing and chopping fruit/veg, or preparing easy, healthy snacks.
Taking Initiative: We’d love someone who sees what needs to be done without being asked. This might include wiping down baseboards, polishing mirrors, keeping the fridge organised, or managing food essentials/cleaning supply lists.
Pet/Child Friendly: You must be comfortable with a dog in the house and being around a young family.
What We’re Looking For
Local: We’d ideally love someone who lives within walking distance or a short commute of Stoke Newington.
Experienced: Previous experience in private housekeeping is preferred.
Reliable & Trustworthy: We value consistency and clear communication.
Proactive: You take pride in maintaining a beautiful, functional home.
The Details
Location: Stoke Newington (N16).
Schedule: 8 hours total per week, over 2 days. (We’re happy to discuss the specific days and times).

Wage dependant on experience/scope

ultimately we expect to shift into 2/3 days a week full time nanny for two children +housekeeping
