My Summary

My Experience

Before moving to the UK I spent a year working at a crèche and primary school in Nigeria, caring for children from toddlers up to primary school age. I was very hands on helping children with bathing, getting them ready, cooking and serving warm meals and supervising play activities. In the classroom I gave extra support to children who needed help with reading, writing and colouring, with a special focus on shy children who needed extra encouragement and confidence building. I noticed when children were struggling and found creative ways to help for example I discovered one of my pupils was mixing up letters when reading and writing, so I started holding his hand to guide him and used reward systems to keep him motivated. I tidied up after activities, kept the space clean and helped settle the little ones at the end of the day. Working with multiple children at once taught me patience, attentiveness and how to make every single child feel seen and cared for individually.

My Qualifications

I bring real hands on experience from a year of working directly with children at a crèche and primary school in Nigeria and that experience taught me more than any classroom ever could. I cared for and taught children from toddlers up to primary school age, helping with everything from bathing and meals to reading, writing and creative activities. I had a special soft spot for the shy ones and the children who were struggling quietly I always made sure they felt seen and supported rather than left behind. One of my most memorable pupils was a little boy who everyone thought was just being difficult, but I took the time to sit with him one on one and realised he was mixing up his letters. From that moment I worked with him differently holding his hand to guide his writing, using football as motivation and just making sure he knew someone believed in him. When it comes to keeping children engaged I love getting creative crafts, beading, knitting, drawing and painting are always a hit. I sing and dance with them, do storytelling with funny voices, bake together in the kitchen and take them on little outdoor adventures with walks and gentle stretches. Whatever we are doing I make sure every child is having fun, feels safe and is always learning something without even realising it.

My Availability

My schedule is very flexible and I can easily work around a family's needs. I am free most of the week apart from Monday and Wednesday mornings for university. Evenings and weekends are fully available. As an international student I can work up to 20 hours per week right now and from November 2026 when I graduate I can switch to full time with no restrictions.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour

My rate is £13 per hour. I believe this reflects my genuine experience and the care and energy I bring to every child I work with. I am open to discussing rates depending on the number of children, hours required and the nature of the role. I am flexible and happy to find something that works for both of us
