My Summary

My Experience

I have looked after children within my family, all under the age of ten. My responsibilities were assisting the children with their reading, activities, games and snack time.

I volunteer in the Children's Ministry team at my Church to teach 4-6-year-olds. I manage 15+ children in a classroom setting. In this role I encourage playtime at the beginning of the lesson, tidy-away time and also the Bible Study lesson. This role has been fantastic and I enjoy teaching the children.

During my church volunteering with 4-6-year-old children, I led a study on Joseph and the famine, where after teaching the session I split the classroom into two groups. We played a card game with the children on traits of a good and bad leader, where the children exemplified a good understanding of the story. I saw first-hand the impact my teaching had on the students. This made me reflect on the wider contributions I am making towards my church, including supporting the Sunday school lead, the other volunteers, families, and contributing to the church’s mission. This experience has encouraged me to support, encourage and foster meaningful connections with children and my colleagues.

My Qualifications

I have attained qualifications in GCSE's, A-Levels, Extended Project Qualification, DBS checks and I have recently completed my LLB Law degree.
