ABOUT US
We’re first-time parents based in Charlbury, Oxfordshire, looking for an experienced nanny to help care for our baby boy, who was born on 20 May 2026.
We’re warm, hands-on parents and genuinely eager to learn. We’d love someone who enjoys working alongside parents, sharing their experience and helping us grow in confidence, as well as providing wonderful care for our son.
We also have two friendly, well-behaved indoor/outdoor cats, so you’ll need to be comfortable around animals.

ABOUT YOU
Above everything else, we’re looking for someone who is warm, happy and smiles a lot.
This is genuinely important to us. We want our son growing up around someone who brings warmth and positive energy into our home.
We’d love to find someone who becomes a trusted part of our family, while also being confident and independent in their role.
Ideally, you will be:
• Warm, happy and positive
• Experienced in caring for young babies
• Calm, patient and nurturing
• Confident working independently and taking sole charge
• A great communicator
• Happy to share your knowledge and experience with first-time parents
• Comfortable working in a family home where Mum and Dad may often be around
• DBS checked
• Paediatric first aid trained
• Ideally Ofsted registered, although we’re happy to discuss covering the cost of registration if you aren’t currently registered
• Ideally a driver with your own car, although we may also be able to add you to the insurance for one of ours
We’re also very happy to consider a nanny who has their own child and would like to bring them to work.

THE ROLE
Location: Charlbury, Oxfordshire, OX7
Start date: Around 14 August 2026, with some flexibility
Duration: Ongoing / long-term
Days: 4 or 5 days per week
Hours: Approximately 8am–6pm, with some flexibility
Pay: £18–£20 gross per hour, depending on experience
Live-in / live-out: We’re open to either
Our son was born on 20 May 2026 and is currently mixed fed with breast milk and formula.
You would have sole charge of him for much of the day, although Mum and Dad will often be around too. (We understand that Mum and Dad being around can make your role more challenging so we can discuss how this works in practice ?).
We want you to feel confident taking the lead during your working hours, rather than feeling that you need to wait for us to tell you what to do.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Your focus will be providing loving, attentive care for our son and helping him thrive as he grows.
This will include:
• Feeding, changing and supporting his sleep routine
• Age-appropriate play, development and activities
• Walks, classes and activities as he gets older
• Preparing and cleaning bottles
• Preparing food for him once he begins weaning
• Keeping his nursery and baby-related areas organised
• Washing and organising his clothes and baby items
• Helping us establish good routines as he grows
• Sharing your experience and advice with us as first-time parents
We’re looking for someone who will take real ownership of his day and enjoy becoming an important part of our family.

EMPLOYMENT & BENEFITS
This will be a properly employed nanny position, including:
• £18–£20 gross per hour, depending on experience
• Paid holiday

• Initial 12-week probationary period
