Rebecca
Babysitter Job in Coventry
About Me
Mother of two autistic kids (9&12) who struggle with school but are very bright. I love bouldering and wildlife.
My Requirements
Part-time Ofsted-registered nanny / home childcarer wanted in Coventry
I'm looking for a calm, reliable and genuinely kind Ofsted-registered nanny or home childcarer to build a long-term relationship with my 10-year-old autistic son.
The main need is weekday/daytime care in our home, initially on a flexible/ad-hoc basis, so that I can attend work meetings, events and appointments. There may also occasionally be evening babysitting.
My son is happiest at home and enjoys gaming. He doesn't need somebody constantly organising activities for him. The most important thing is finding somebody patient and low-pressure who will take time to build trust with him and become a familiar, safe person in his life.
Experience of autism/SEND would be a strong advantage.
Ofsted registration is essential for this role. I would also be happy to hear from someone who is currently completing the Ofsted registration process and expects to be registered shortly.
An enhanced DBS, appropriate first aid training and good references are also essential.
We're looking for the right person rather than simply filling a fixed number of hours, with the potential for more regular work once the relationship is established.
