About Me
We are a warm, friendly family based near Rotherfield, East Sussex, looking for a kind, reliable and proactive nanny or mother’s help to support our family as I return to work.
We have two young children, Freddie and Daisy, and are looking for someone who would enjoy becoming a genuine part of family life and building a long-term relationship with our children as they grow.
About Us
We live in a beautiful rural setting near Ashdown Forest and spend as much time outdoors as possible. Our children love being outside, whether that’s exploring the garden or simply getting muddy.
We also have a friendly Rhodesian Ridgeback, Betty, who is very much part of the family, so applicants should be comfortable around dogs.
We are looking for someone warm, energetic and practical who enjoys being active with young children and who would like to become a trusted and valued part of our family.
My Requirements
The role will primarily involve helping with wraparound childcare before and after nursery and school, together with supporting the smooth running of family life.
Typical hours are expected to be:
Term Time?
• Three mornings per week (approximately 6.45am–8.15am)? (Tues - Thurs)
• Three afternoons/evenings per week (approximately 5.00pm–7.00pm) (Tues - Thurs)
School Holidays
?• Four afternoons/evenings per week (approximately 4.15pm–7.00pm)
There may also be opportunities for additional hours by mutual agreement, including occasional emergency childcare cover, babysitting and overnight care.
Responsibilities
• Helping the children get ready for the day
?• School and nursery drop-offs and collections
?• Preparing simple meals and snacks
?• Supporting evening routines, including bath and bedtime
?• Planning fun, age-appropriate activities
?• Encouraging outdoor play and adventures
?• Children’s laundry and organisation
?• Keeping children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy
?• Preparing school and nursery bags and helping keep family life organised
?• Being an extra pair of hands in a busy household

Essential Requirements
• Previous childcare experience
?• Excellent references
?• Enhanced DBS check
?• Paediatric First Aid qualification
?• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle?
• Right to work in the UK
Whilst we will agree a regular schedule, family life can occasionally be unpredictable. We would love to find someone who is willing, where possible, to help when plans change, trains are delayed or additional support is needed.
