We are a warm, active family living in South Buckinghamshire, with excellent transport links into London. We have one child; a bright and energetic young toddler under two, who is at a wonderful and busy stage of development, full of curiosity and personality.
Both parents work full time in demanding professional roles, which means we rely heavily on our nanny to be a confident, caring and proactive presence in our home. We take our son's development, routine and happiness extremely seriously, and we are looking for someone who shares that commitment and genuinely loves working with young children.
We live in a well-appointed family home in a quiet residential area of South Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will have their own accommodation within the home, with all living costs - including accommodation, utilities, food and petrol covered as part of the package. Live-in Nanny — Full Time (Monday to Friday, 65 Hours per Week) START DATE BEFORE NOVEMBER 2026
We are a warm and welcoming family in South Buckinghamshire seeking an experienced, dedicated and proactive live-in nanny to provide exceptional care for our bright and curious young toddler. This is a full-time, live-in position for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and ready to become a trusted and valued part of our family.
The Role
Your primary responsibility will be delivering attentive, loving and developmentally appropriate care throughout the day. We are looking for someone who is energetic, organised and genuinely enthusiastic about supporting a toddler through this exciting and formative stage. Both parents work full time, so we need someone who can manage the day with confidence, initiative and warmth and who communicates openly and proactively about our child's day, progress and wellbeing.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 7:00pm (65 hours per week). Occasional flexibility may be required, including accompanying the family on travel from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
-Providing attentive, safe and nurturing care throughout the day in line with the child's routine and developmental needs
-Planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate activities to support speech, social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
-Preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks tailored to the child's dietary needs and stage
-Maintaining a consistent daily routine including naps, mealtimes and bedtime wind-down where required
-Taking the child to weekly classes, activities and outings, and managing all associated logistics independently
-Keeping the child's nursery, play areas and belongings clean, organised and well-maintained
-Managing all nursery laundry - washing, drying and organising the child's clothing and bedding
-Carrying out light housekeeping duties related to the child's areas of the home
-Accompanying the family on occasional domestic and international travel when required, with advance notice given
-Communicating openly and regularly with parents regarding the child's milestones, routine, health and daily wellbeing
-Being a calm and reassuring presence - particularly during periods of change, illness or developmental transitions
The ideal candidate will have:
-A minimum of two years' experience in a professional nanny or childcare role, with strong references from previous families
-Demonstrable experience caring for toddlers at a similar developmental stage
-A genuine, warm and patient approach to childcare - someone who truly loves this work
-Confidence in planning and delivering stimulating, educational play and activities
-Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage the day independently and proactively
-Excellent communication skills - fluent English is essential; additional languages are a welcome
-Current paediatric first aid certification, or willingness to obtain this before starting
-An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
-A full UK driving licence - essential, as the role involves taking the child to activities and outings
-Flexibility and a positive attitude when it comes to travel or changes in routine
-Non-smoker
