About Me

Hello! I’m Sophie. I’m looking for temporary work over the upcoming summer holidays. I have recently finished university and will be starting my teacher training in September. As a SEN teaching assistant, I pride myself on my ability to build trust and foster curiosity and fun.

I’m happy to discuss what arrangement is best for you and your child. I have a quiet home during the day so can offer home-from-home services, as well as trips out and about.

My Experience

I have worked in a special needs school for over 3 years and my particular niche is older children (Juniors). I am also beginning Primary teacher training in September.

My Qualifications

I have a mixture of academic and hands-on qualifications.

Higher Education: ??BA (Hons) Degree (Graduating July 2026)

School-Based Training: Regular CPD sessions at the current school, along with safeguarding training and PREVENT.

Further Education: Level 3 Diploma and full set of GCSEs.

Logistics: Full UK Driving License with own reliable car and business insurance cover. Enhanced DBS checked.

My Availability

Over the summer holidays, I can be incredibly flexible. If you would like to meet before then, I have evening and occasional weekend availability.

My Fees

  • Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

From £15/hr for a single child, scaling up depending on number of children or specialised SEN requirements. Standard mileage rate for petrol costs if driving required.
