I am currently returning to work following maternity leave and am looking for a nanny position where I can bring my 10-month-old baby with me. I appreciate this arrangement may not suit every family, but I believe it can work incredibly well for many children. Having another little one around can provide valuable opportunities for socialisation, shared play, learning, and companionship in a warm, home-like environment. My Experience
I have 20 years of experience working in childcare and early years education, with a career that has included a variety of roles and responsibilities. I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education and have worked directly with children from 3 months old through to school age in both home-based and early years settings.
Throughout my career, I have managed both a day nursery and a preschool, leading teams of practitioners while ensuring high standards of care, learning, safeguarding, and child development. These management roles gave me extensive experience in supporting children's individual needs, building strong relationships with families, and creating nurturing environments where children can flourish.
In addition to my leadership experience, I have worked alongside a registered childminder and have also provided nanny care within a family home, giving me valuable insight into the benefits of personalised, one-to-one childcare. As a mother of three myself, I combine my professional knowledge with practical parenting experience, allowing me to confidently support children through all stages of development.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (qualified since 2005).
Designated Safeguarding Lead in my last role as Preschool Manager.
My Availability
I offer flexible availability and am happy to discuss individual family requirements to find an arrangement that works well for everyone. I understand that every family's childcare needs are different, and I am open to considering a variety of working patterns, including full-time, part-time, and term-time positions.
As a mother, I have a son in primary school, so I would need some flexibility around school drop-offs and pick-ups. However, I am also happy to make use of breakfast club and after-school club facilities where available, allowing me to accommodate a wider range of working hours. I am committed to being reliable, organised, and transparent, and I welcome open conversations with families to ensure expectations and schedules work smoothly for all involved.
